BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRAM MANAGER

About the Company

Odyssian Technology is a high technology company focused on technology innovation and creative product development related to smart composite structures, smart [in-dwelling] power distribution systems, and highly integrated sensor networks and control systems. Odyssian is involved in developing technology and products for both the military and commercial marketplace. Exciting work is underway in the development of novel power access and control systems for use in military shelters, and a smart oil & gas (O&G) pipeline system capable of point-of-source leak detection and health monitoring.

About the Opportunity

The selected candidate will be responsible for strategic business planning and business development. Success will be measured by the candidates ability to increase earnings, improve business practices, and expand Odyssian Technology's product and service offerings.  Business development and strategic planning will focus on winning government contracts to conduct research and to provide custom engineered systems to both military and non-military customers. This will include research and products related to smart piping/sealing systems, intelligent power distribution systems, as well as other research and products related Odyssian's current technology portfolio. Strategic business planning will focus on new product introductions and expanding research and technical service to the U.S. Government and corporations.   

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a four year degree and at least two years of business development experience.
  • It is preferred that the candidate have both technical and business degrees or equivalent experience.
  • It is preferred that the candidate has experience and contacts that would be useful in expanding Odyssian's smart pipeline and intelligent in-dwelling power distribution business.
  • Candidate must be highly proficient in MS Office and other programs needed to develop and execute a successful business development plan.
  • Candidate must be self motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must have strong organization skills and pay close attention to detail.
  • Candidate must have a strong work ethic and an inherent ability to work within a team environment.
  • Candidate must have strong writing and oral communications skills.
